Closed-Loop Recycling
Washington Mills has created a recycling program that allows for spent aluminum oxide to be returned to the furnace. This process removes contaminants prior to manufacturing new virgin fused aluminum oxide creating a 100% closed loop process. Spent aluminum oxide grit is used to lower the dependency on expensive raw materials.
